2nd testsail

 We went to the ijsselmeer this week and did some testing with the modifications made. Still mostly working on the boat and just a little bit of sailing, but the weather was pretty miserable anyway.

We are improving, this time taped everything off and cut it out rather than the paint brush. It looks even better :)

With the help of the neighbour artist the first side is done :) She is also designed the artwork.

Painting

And the hull is black :) After some long days sanding it is finally time for the paint. It doesn't cover perfectly, but getting in the water is more important at the moment as the weather is also not getting better over here.

The plan is to float soon while there is still a nice day and because I have to drive in the right direction anyway.

So installed some winches and hatches.

The new trailer also fits perfectly :)

lowering the hull

After the hull became quite solid and some space opened up downstairs it was time to lower the hull. It fitted exactly and with some help it was done in half a day :)

Building

Because I expected a bit more time off beginning this year (never really happened) I started building on my proa I designed last year. By now it does differ significant from the design, but that doesn't matter. The rough dimensions are there. 

In April the build started, and by now it is progressing nicely. I did not plan to post anything, but because the neighbors complained about noise on Sunday I will use the day off to post something for whoever finds the Blog.
